The first time I found myself agreeing with former Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern, I joked that it was a sign of the impending apocalypse.  Now he’s gone and said something else sensible.

The third time is generally taken as a sign of enemy action.  If he does this again I’ll have to wonder if the GOP kidnapped his dog.

This has to be some sick twisted joke right? He can’t really believe what he’s saying. Who knew McGovern could say something reasonable.

McGovern writes, “I am concerned about a new development that could deny this freedom to many Americans.”

These are crocodile tears. While unions are backed by the power of government force (e.g. anti-scab laws), he decries the ‘freedom’ of union members to avail themselves of that force, to coerce the management of corporations to accede to union demands.

His position is disgusting in the extreme, and though he seems right, superficially, he is in NO WAY semsible.
