If I can plant a flower garden and dig a bizarre hole in my yard for the pool that may never happen, why can't you have a gargoyle on your own property??? Theres a reason its called "private property", the homeowner owns it, not the entire neighborhood. The cutting down of trees? Again, your property, your business! They don't like how it looks? they should have bought the house before you did, then they could decorate it however they like. I'd like to apologize for people who act this way and pretend to speak for Christians in general. I don't think the gargoyles cute, but hey, not my style. If you were my neighbor, BIG WHOOP. Its your yard. Just don't complain about mine. As for the lights thing, WHOOPDIE DOO. If its that bad they need shades for their windows that arent so thin you can see stars. Sheesh. If you were blasting sirens, sure. that's hard to block out. Lights? As long as its not so blinding as to make the average person incapable of driving, whats the issue? If I could put lights out and keep them out all year, I SO would! And I'd put up decorations for all holidays I celebrate and keep them in my yard all year. You're not intruding on anyone else's person space, not causing harm or injury, and the sunday thing, you make an excellent point! There'll be LESS for them to deal with if you did it that way. They seem to just be grabbing at straws to control the neighborhood. I applaud you, and I'm a Christian. I'm sick of people like that giving us all a bad name!
